Change in the Obama Era ::: Monday 2/9

Socialist Strategies for Winning Radical Change

Amid great hope and expectations for change, Barack Obama is set to take office this month. He will take the reins of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a growing crisis of genocidal proportions in Palestine, and the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. More than ever, a majority of Americans are fed up with the status quo, and elected Obama on the promise of kicking out the business-as-usual politicians and political ideas.

Inspired by the possibility of real change, thousands of activists are already demanding the repeal of Proposition 8 in California, justice for victims of police brutality, help for workers who are losing their jobs while CEO's and bankers receive bailouts, a voice for students on college campuses, and justice for Palestinians living in a state of siege in Gaza.

Come to a discussion about what WE can do to make real radical change in this new political era.
