SB 1070 and the Immigrants Rights Movement
The immigrants movement has blown up again, seemingly overnight, reaching numbers and excitement not seen since 2006. In Houston, it was the largest march in years, and its being followed up with a Diamondbacks protest on Wednesday. Why is the movement resurging? What are the key arguments within the movement, and how can we defeat racist laws in AZ? What can we do here in Houston? These are questions we need to be discussing as a branch.
